first house track on ableton
Re: first house track on ableton
Not bad for the first one.
But the bass sound and the drum set doens't sound very interesting.
Keep also working on the sound quality with EQs. First try to avoid overlapping frequencies, but don't use a spectrummeter use your ears and couple of good monitor speakers! The more you are working with sound the better your ears will get and your sound as well ... have fun!

More cowbell!! lol j/k
Seriously, you have a good variety of beat combinations, but in my humble opinion they lack definition and/or depth.
Try adding a few notes to that synth loop and/or create another synth loop to add variety. And use (more?) delays and/or reverbs; I'd say the overall sound is too dry.
I'm a beginner myself, so my "wisdom" is a bit limited. Doesn't mean I can't try and help.
