Re: APC 80 !!!!!!!!
Then you get the 40 or maybe another future mini version. check out the mpc's 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, one for everyones taste or need.KainProject wrote:It's to big, imo.
The only real problem with something that size is that it'll be difficult to quickly find the right clip launch button. Could be solved by grouping the tracks and scenes. ie 4 tracks / 5 scene blocks with an centimetre of space inbetween the groups...and then have the groups displayed as seperate coloured rectangles on the screne...?
Re: APC 80 !!!!!!!!
For my style of playing live, live I'd need 16 channels. Coming from 10 years of DJing I set up 2 virtual decks, but split them up into 8 stems
(1 Kick / 2 Snare / 3 Percussion / 4 HiHats / 5 Bass / 6 Acidline / 7 Other Synths / Vocals&FX)
so I can change the arrangement and effects of different parts on the fly. So a single APC40 would not be much use to me, and I dont really see the point of paying for 2 transport controls, 2 scence launch, 2 stop all clips, crossfaders, etc. Thats really put me off getting one till now.
Wouldn't really need much more scene wise, 5 seems enough to have quick access to all parts of a song, but having seperate knobs for pan and sends would be nice, as well as having them arranged above the faders like on a mixer instead of on the side.
And as mentioned before, the abbility to control more devices simultaniously.
With that it could really call itself an all in one controler.

Re: APC 80 !!!!!!!!
hey Dexes, what are you using now?
its super easy and quick to bank over to the next 8 tracks
in fact navigating arround a live set is pretty cake if you have it organized with the apc40 in mind.

BCR & Remote Zero SL, Got the 2 rows or 8 buttons on the BCR mapped to the track launch and use the remote SL for as mixer in live automap template (mainly because of the led display for effects like beat repeat where I like to see the values without having to open the track view)bosonHavoc wrote:hey Dexes, what are you using now?
yeah, it's easy to bank around, thats how I used to work with my remote SL alone, when I had everything bounced down to audio, but now I'm moving on that beyond only adding fx to my tracks and modulate my acidlines (with audiorealism bassline) live, and when playing with the filter using both hands it just seems too little time if I want to ie mute kick/perc on one "deck", then bank over to start two or three tracks on the other even with quantanize set to 1 bar (wouldn't ge below that...). But being able to just quickly hit out 4-5 buttons would seem so much quicker...its super easy and quick to bank over to the next 8 tracks

Guess it would work and I'd just have to slightly change my way of thinking. Currently I also have to "bank" down the scenes, so in the end It would come to more or less the same ammount of button pressing. But If the accessability is the same (just changing from having to move up/down to moving left/right) I just can't justify the over €400 tha apc would cost
