I am getting 0 love about my crashing M4L. I have both max4Live and ableton beta's installed and authorized and every time I try and open the max4live instrument from ableton 8.1 it crashes. I haven't been able to open it once and I have reinstalled 3 times. CAN SOME PLEASE help me? I am loosing my beta time with no progress

what are you trying to open and does it crash with one particular device or just every instance of MFL?

please provide us with as much information as you have (for example .alp files that were created after a crash).

thanks for the replies.

The furthest I get is to open Ableton 8.1 and then when I double click the M4L instrument under instruments, or I just drag it over to a track, it crashes. I have authorized both. I can open my max 5.1 beta on its own and that works fine too. It's just when I try and run the instrument that it crashes. I might not be loading m4l properly as i have no idea where to start but it seems something is wrong.

Am I missing some step to open both ableton and max for live?

When you open Max 5.1 beta standalone, are you able to select certain menu items without crashing Max, as in this thread:
