Hey, I've posted a new track on the cloud called 'Red Skies'
I tweaked some auto filter for the 'airy' sounds and used operator for the synths.
Hoping for some feedback on the mix and sounds!

Yo!
I do like the drum sounds and programming.
I don't like the "piano" type melody. It's too in yer face.
Apart from that it's a great arrangement and some nice synths.
I've listened to some of your previous stuff and I would say that this
is a bit of a departure from the "hardass" !

Thanks Rinsemeister, I appreciate the constructive feedback! The piano melody could be scaled back, I agree. I could drop the volume or morph the noise some more to make it softer/smoother (it is operator). I didn't really see it that way before, but now that you mention it... this is why it's so good to get other ears on it!
It is different from my harder, darker stuff, I have split personalities when it comes to putting music together.
If you like this softer style, check out Carrier Pigeons on my soundcloud as well. I really should just form several identities to serve my different styles (I also do guitar/rock stuff)... but I always justify keeping it together as Darkslide somehow.
Anyway, thanks for the listen!
