rig it up to your 25 full size key controller and use it like a mini rack mount samplerlunabass wrote:looks like fun. shame about the keys...too small for my fat fingers!

Re: Korg microSAMPLER
i don't like the way it looks either but I like making dope shit on ugly machines anyway. I wanted an upgrade version of the esx-1 electribe or a kp4 but at least korg is starting to get it, these days it doesn't matter what you make if it doesn't have the ability to sample i'm none too interested.

It looks too good to be true. It'll either be too expensive or they'll have done something stupid, like forcing you to use their (undoubtably shitty) software to put samples on it.
Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

That video looks INSANELY good - I hate those 'here's what you can do with it' vids! It does look a bit cheap, but that doesn't really mean much; it's a battery powered sampling beast!
I bet it'll cost the earth, though... £500? £550?

Re: Korg microSAMPLER
I wonder - does it have USB? which is OK - but it would have been better to have SD card and USB - not that I have seen the unit or seen the full specs yet...
If it had some memory card slot as well as USB and was not priced out of the park - could be interesting...as someone above me said - if the small keys are a prob then I'd plug in a bigger k/bd.
Respect.

Holy crap! I have this! No box though, you just freaked me out!
Re: Korg microSAMPLER
Played it while waiting for someone at music store. It is uglier then on the pics, damn ugliest music product (from major brand) I have seen in long time- Terribly build, absolutely retarded, it is like some weird kitchen appliance. keys are terrible though not as bad as on MicroKontrol. There was R3 next to it and it sounded and looked much better and only 50€ more. Just had a look at Korg site, it actually looks fantastic on the photo if compared to reality. Should have called it microFinger and score the place on the top of most stupid musical products forever.

I always love your vivid descriptions

Re: Korg microSAMPLER
I dont understand why they didnt take padkontrol (which is empty inside anyway) as base, which having touchpad anyway would be perfect for kaosspad FX. Add couple of controls and they would have the hottest selling product. That would be THE microSampler for 2009. Korg has brought some of the best designed instruments, from M1 (probably most elegant synth ever) to padKontrol and the whole K series (cheesy but good looking) why, oh why such duck?
