counting in live loop recording

Post by Sebastian » Mon Sep 14, 2009 2:36 pm

Hi

Im not finding a consistent way yet to tell Ableton how long to count in before recording the next loop. It seems to arbitrarily always count to 4. I play guitar so thats why it bugs me.

Id like to control how much it counts to count to record and ALSO to count to stop playing when I tell it to!

help!

gracias

Go to Options > Preferences and pick the Record/Warp/Launch tab. There's a Count-In box, which can be set to 0,1,2, or 4 bars.

If you're recording into slots in Session View [during playback], recording will start/stop in time with your Global Quantize setting. (Next to the master transport controls, default is 1 bar.)

Check Section 15.3 Recording (pg. 200) in the Live Manual for better detail.

Rock on,
