Unwanted/ inexplicable automation

It happened sometimes with 1.5.2 But it's happening alot more with 2.01. Sometimes if I move or copy something automation that I've never seen before just turns up. I was suprised not to see anyhing posted about this. Surely this is a serious problem. I'm spending alot of time erasing automation curvs that are nothing to do with me. Is there something I've missed?
