I have a question for all you Firewire 1814 users. The stat sheet on the M-Audio website claims that the headphone outputs on the front panel are individually assignable. Can these outputs be assigned to only pre-listen in Live? Or are they only able to listen to the complete mix going through the unit?
I use Live 4.0.4 and NI's Traktor DJ Studio. I currently have the M-Audio Audiophile 2496 PCI card in my Quicksilver G4 and it has been quite a crutch to me at this point to not be able to have a separate output just for prelistening. The 1814 has gotten some amazing reviews, but I have to say that this option would be key for me.
Anyone able to comment? Thanks in advance.

I've got a 410, so my results may be a bit different than yours.... buuut, with this card, you can set which audio channels are assigned to the front headphone jacks from within the m-audio control panel (not from within live).therarekind wrote:I have a question for all you Firewire 1814 users. For instance, I have my card set up to route both ports 1/2 and 3/4 to the headphone jack, and live's master/cue out are set to audio ports 1/2 and 3/4, respectively. This way, I hear the complete mix (plus cue) through the headphones.

A tip from the manual for my Firewire Audiophile which might help if you are not currently using the SPDIF out is to route the cue to SPDIF out and then (in the MAudio control panel) set the headphone to monitor the SPDIF - gets you and extra analogue out.....
(of course if you are using the SPDIF out it doesn't help...)
