As for the design, just stick a big cool sticker with your artist name on the cover, people will see it when you play. Way better than the standard fruit if you ask me.
definitely Lenovo

@ Rave
no worries. I'm interested in your solution... but try and understand that I'm not trying to complicate things for the sake of getting a Macbook or any other laptop for that matter. If I was I would have just picked up the phone and called E-Machines right away
@ stringtapper I'm not totally opposed to it, but at least at this point, it might be easier to persuade me to get a new Alienware PC or some other rip shit go fast overpriced/overkill model. The cost IS a huge factor. I've used a Mac but its been a good 4 years since I have and if you think about all the what ifs, maybes, and could gos...
thats my serious face.
I like to try to be sensible when making certain decisions. Items like cars and PCs are really hard for me because no matter what you do the life expectancy is not really that great. Its not like a mic or a guitar or even a bike that you can use for 10, 15, 20 years (rare exceptions noted). With a computer you always want more 2 or 3 years out.. by year 5 you're half ashamed to admit what you have unless you have a better one as well.
At least this is how I view it... but I didn't think I was a total kunt either

Only a total kunt would say that.H20nly wrote:but I didn't think I was a total kunt either
(a half-kunt would get a mac)
Re: Need a laptop... but not a Mactop...
^ well then tell me what kind of laptop a total kunt would get so we can end the thread or at least form a forum kunt committee to create a proposition that would decipher the bylaws and allocate funds to the restructuring of kunts upon the submission of the kunt oversight authority... n stuff

I already wrote you on Page 2 - Dell Latitude D630. I got mine for $700 a year ago, and it's still fast as fark.H20nly wrote:^ well then tell me what kind of laptop a total kunt would get so we can end the thread or at least form a forum kunt committee to create a proposition that would decipher the bylaws and allocate funds to the restructuring of kunts upon the submission of the kunt oversight authority... n stuff
Only a real total kunt would completely pass by my total wisdom. Geez!
(*hugs*)
Re: Need a laptop... but not a Mactop...

so no committee?

psst
listen...
all we have to do is follow the "American Government Business Model". We can't go wrong its like a pyramid, but a really cool one with like an eye on top or something. Yeah.
We just have to get a whole bunch of other people's money and do pretty much what ever WE want with it. Sounds great huh? Then I can have enough loot to buy... a ranch - with a Mac on it.

^ ahh spell check
@ starving student you gettin kick backs from lenovo or what? that first link was funny I have to admit... however those other links... refer back to the kick back question.
I just went through their wizard with the floating java crystal ball and came up with a pretty nice system... XP Pro with "free" Windows 7 Ultimate upgrade. 2.53 GHZ Duo with 4 GB of RAM - the forth was only $2.50 more, yes 2.50. 320 GB @ 7200, 15.4 in screen. Just under 1300.00 I stopped when I realized that fire wire was missing and I was dangerously close to filling in my personal data... I need to get back to work before I buy something... else...
