Does anyone know how to rewire Logic to Maxmsp ?

I know this is Abes forum, but I recognized some of you are using,
Live4-Logic-Maxmsp.

Plz, i need your help.

I was able to to Rewire Logic-Live4.
I tried to do the samething with Maxmsp.
I tried to creat a midi inst object for rewire in the environment.
When I did this with live4, the channel had a specific name saying,
"Ableton Live". It was that easy.

But I do not see any "MAXMSP" for a channel.
All I see now is "Ableton Live, 2,3,4--"
Do I chose Ableton again for Maxmsp ?

I just want to send and recieve the midi between Logic-Maxmsp.

I also noticed there's a sign sayin the MIDI inputs has been changed to
3 from 4. This will appear after I launch the Maxmsp after Logic.
I'm not sure if it's been rewired since I can quit Logic before Maxmsp.

You have to go into Max/MSP DSP and select Rewire for it to be registered as a rewire device first (at least in Windows). Have you been able to hook up Live to Max/MSP? That would at least tell you that you have things working ok in those two apps.

Basically launch Max, select DSP Rewire. Open Live and check input from an audio track and make sure you see Max listed. Then look at output to a MIDI track and make sure you see Max listed. Then you're all set, it should show up as a Rewire slave in Logic too.

Thing I noticed about Max is that I need to have it running before Live in order for things to be all fine, dunno if that is other folks experience or not.

I got it all working right now.
Your advice was easy to understand and it worked perfectly.
I'm glad you used live4, too. Your how-to was very specific for me to
understand.

BTW, I didn't have any trouble launching the MAXMSP after any apps.
Can MaxMSP become a rewire host application, too??

We know that live can, ofcourse.
Slaves have to be launched after the host rewire apps.
