I am trying to quantize real played drums with he quantize to :1/4 ,1/8, etc
might there be a way to "auto-quantize" so that when played the program automatically finds the closest quantize grid to the played beat and snap to it?
Quantize needed

Re: Quantize needed
no no no !
I mean record quantization but whenever I play 1/4 the program snatches the played rythm to the grid when I play 1/8 it snatches to 1/8 grid , when 1/16 is played snatch to 1/16 grid , then triplets etc...all that in one session without to configure the record quantization in edit->record quantize..As I said above I mean something like auto quantize
I think there is no way in ableton but perhaps a vst?

Don't think there is no auto quantize for audio.
This would be difficult to implement (maybe not too difficult for drums though).
But Live 8 does have audio quantize (I think). Might be able to write some hotkey script that can apply that right after you record.
