HI everyone. my first time here.
I seriously need help from you.
Ableton Live 7.0.14 is systematically crashing on my laptop.
The pc is a mac book pro, 2.4 Ghz core duo, 2 gb ram, the os is snow leopard.
The os just says that Live quits unexpectedly.
I am experiencing the crash without using an external sound card. I mean, it seems that the software crashes by itself.
I have already contacted the support. Wanted to discuss with someone the issue, maybe he has the same problem.
In details, the crash occurs in a Live project with I think 50 clips saved, ready to play live.
I dont know, maybe its a matter of ram on mac, but before switching to mac i used to play on a winxp laptop with a non core duo cpu, and I have never experienced such crash problems on that less "strong" machine. so it makes me wonder about a snow leopard issue.
thanks!
elsa

Re: ableton 7.0.14 crashes on my mac book pro!! need help please
I have the same problem as yourself but i am using a toshiba laptop running windows vista.
Using Live 7.0.10.
No External soundcard.
Intel Centrino vPro 2, t7, 2gb ram.
It is very annoying because like yourself i have got the best, imo, system possible for a laptop to use Live on.
I thought it is a vista issue, but, as you are using a different os it has me worried.
i.e. maybe using Live on a laptop is only for replay (playing out live) and not for intensive production or editing work.
If there is anybody around the forum that has or knows of the issue or has a fix please reply or start a thread concerning this very annoying problem.
