Worth an upgrade?

Post by Gregor samsa » Fri Oct 02, 2009 10:33 pm

Hi, im new to ableton, i own the lite version, but i find it a bit limited. I tried to look around the ableton website to find out which feautures of live 8 that are included in the downloadable version. If i upgrade my live lite 7 to the regular live 8 will i get access to all the instruments in live 8? or is the downloadable upgrade version a bit more limited than if you just buy the live 8 without upgrading? Im a bit confused, and i still havent decided on which software i should spend my money on, so replies would be greatly apreciated.
Thanks

download the demo, it's the same as the full version but you can't (I think) save and it times out after two weeks or something.

also watch the movies, they're well done. there are more on youtube.

you have to pay for Operator, Sampler, Electric, Analog, Tension and Collision, the other instruments are free (Impulse, Simpler and the midi and audio effects.)

the Suite is a good choice if you like at least 2 or 3 of the add - ons.
