I guess If Protools is the master and live is the slave I heard that there are conflicts of the hardware they share that won't allow you to record from live, straight into protools I am talking about 6.4 version le I heard I should use trs cables for input recording If I want to record what I did in live to protools I have to save it them import it as a audio file in p.t. protools can be in reord mode and the signal is there but as soon as I press play the signal goes

in PT:
check Auto Imput Monitor / Input Only Monitor.

when you hit play in Auto you will not hear input any more.
