Midi sysex filter for filtering out pitchbend data

Post by rebelinc » Sun Oct 04, 2009 6:06 pm

Hi,
The pitchwheel of my keyboard controller has gone bananas, and keeps sending pitch bend data at random.
Until I get it fixed/repaired, I wonder if there is a simple midi filter app, that simply filter out these data before it reaches Live?

Any ideas, Iv been looking at bomes and a few more appz, but they dont seem to do the trick.

Thanks in advance,

What keyboard do you have that is doing this? Mine did it too, so I took out the pitchbend wheel and disconnected it entirely. I'm using an E-MU Xboard 25.

I tried calibrating the keyboard, to see if it would go away, but it wouldn't. I wonder if some components cleaner would make it work again. Let me know if you get it fixed.

Are you Mac or PC? Try MIDI-Ox. That should have filtering for you.

Thanks for your reply.
I have an older CME UF6. It seems like its a common problem for these keyboards by viewing their forums. Iv tried to clean the wheel, no lcuk. Next step is to remove it or detach wires ex.
Im on PC and have had a look at MIDI-Ox. But had no luck in getting it running as exspected. But I will try again later.
