Thanx guys, but still I get a lot of clicks and pops, other ideas??
Should I change my cheapy soundcard to a more-expensive one??

change the buffer size to 1024. ive found even most crappy built-in and sblive type cards will work at this setting, which isnt really horrible latency-wise. make sure youre using asio/wdm and not directsound also. if youd card has no decent drivers theres plenty of good 24/96 cards around $150usd/euro

Make sure the DMA is enabled on your hard drive. Should be in system manager - click on the drive icon and in properties settings you can tick the DMA.
