Post your set up and your sexy cat...
Re: Post your set up and your sexy cat...
Lol.
I wouldn't do that either.
Luckily this is just a HP that cost me nothing - it was going to be thrown away for recycling, brand new with only a problem on the keyboard (the g key wouldn't work sometimes) and i brought it home.
Still, i was cazrefull not to get any sand on.

One last (bad) shot of my current setup. Moving in 2 weeks and with that will come a new desk, setup, etc.

+2, as much as it really doesn't add anything, would clean up the desk quite a bit here.

yeah, it's just a convenience thing. but i would really love it. especially because i use all of my available connections on the MBP (OK except a second monitor, but that might come, as soon as ableton supports dual screens)Tarekith wrote:+2, as much as it really doesn't add anything, would clean up the desk quite a bit here.

Still worth having a second monitor, plug-ins n stuff, manuals, open files etc..all makes life easier....SubFunk wrote:yeah, it's just a convenience thing. but i would really love it. especially because i use all of my available connections on the MBP (OK except a second monitor, but that might come, as soon as ableton supports dual screens)Tarekith wrote:+2, as much as it really doesn't add anything, would clean up the desk quite a bit here.
Love the funky wood effect coverings though!
Re: Post your set up and your sexy cat...
sure, might need to get one soon anyway, i will / do start to do sound for movies, then i need a second screen eventually for a proper movie window.Guff Tong wrote:Still worth having a second monitor, plug-ins n stuff, manuals, open files etc..all makes life easier....SubFunk wrote:yeah, it's just a convenience thing. but i would really love it. especially because i use all of my available connections on the MBP (OK except a second monitor, but that might come, as soon as ableton supports dual screens)Tarekith wrote:+2, as much as it really doesn't add anything, would clean up the desk quite a bit here.

...but the synth just looks like that - weird 90s burnt matt orange "styling"...
Re: Post your set up and your sexy cat...
Reminds me of the old Dennis Leary stand up routine 'No Cure For Cancer' where he reminices his father wood panneling the whole house!

Not a docking station, but I've heard great things about this: http://www.apple.com/displays/features.html8O wrote:I wish Apple would make docking stations though!
Expensive, and I don't have a Macbook, but other than that it's perfect!

Re: Re:
Yeah, I've seen those, and think they're a horrendous "solution". I mean proper docking stations with port duplicators and laptops that have a dedicated docking station connector underneath. Like the Dell laptops at my old work. Guess it's just not Apple's priority...oblique strategies wrote:BookEndz docking stations for Apple laptops: very expensive...8O wrote:I wish Apple would make docking stations though!
