Using More Then One Controller (Automap 3) in Ableton

hi there, its not a problem i have as such but just a question before i go upgrading.

I noticed the nocturn and Automap 3 video which allows u to customize what each knob does when a certain vst is opened.

Could u use say a zerosl to have certain parameters show up on that, in conjunction with the nocturn to have other parameters show up so u essentially get more buttons? or does Automap3 not device specific like that?

Is there any way around that in live 8 (as im still on live 7)
