A few more facts on my taste:

1. The darker the beer the more I don't like it leading right up to the piss + motor oil that is Guinness.

2. Any drink that should be drank at room temperature is just WRONG.

Actually your CAMRA outing sounds like a great time to me.

and Mick looks a lot like the mate who was with me.

Gaz, Dazza and Trev are all twats anyway.
That is true.

BUT, how old is your auntie?

My auntie is one of sarf London's leading Dubstep DJs. She has no conservatory, no sparrows nor doilies.

Beaujolais and Fleurie must be chilled sir.

mainly i stick red wine in a pint glass with ice and soda, otherwise, like real ale, I find it undrinkable.

I deduced some years ago that most alcohol is served cold because most of it is filthy poisonous muck which is all too obvious when it's warm.

lager is undrinkable warm, but turns in to the most refreshing beverage once chilled.

It's all marketing, you are told what to like anyway.

Give a chil any alcohol and their face will tell you what it really tastes like. Then, as we grow up and force ourselves to drink more of it, we begin to convicne ourselves that is actually tastes nice.

The wine and real ale industries are the worst for this, convinving people their poisonous filth actually tastes nice.

'oh ya, i can really taste the berries here and the oakey aftertaste is devine.'

Bollocks. It's gone-off unedible grapes mashed up in a bottle.

In April there was a CAMRA real ale festival on a pub in the backroads of Kentish Town that was like your aunt's conservatory with framed pencil drawings of sparrows on the wall and doilies etc

David Mitchell (Mitchell and Webb) was in there doing the same!

So you can have your watery, gassy hopless piss you utter heathen! ;-)
I've trimmed your post to leave but the important part about wierdy beardy real ale drinkers.

To summarise.

1. Beardy wierdy
2. Pipe smoker
3. Cap wearer
4. CAMRA
5. Auntie's Sparrows and doilies
6. David Mitchell
7. Unjustified hatred for lager drinkers.

Classic sayings at the CAMRA outing:

'I'll have a pint of Theakstons Old Bollock Twanger please, and do you have any pork scratchings?'
'That's a nice fire you've got going there'
'Is Jim in tonight?'
'We had one of them lager drinkers in yesterday...'
'All set for fishing tomorrow then Jed?'
'Is it darts every Tuesday? I thought Tuesday was quiz night.'
'Have we been here before? I think I recall the Bishop's Finger, hold on I'll check my CAMRA stamp card'
'I'll have a pint of ESB and a scotch egg, barkeep.'
'I bet they keep that in a Firkin, are you filtering with muslin or a gauze?'

:D

Sage....you could deffo get a beard on the go.
I've tried it and the beard was embarrassing :(

But yeah, I'm an ale drinker and proud of it!

Actually, how the fuck did America survive before chilled drinks?
