Sysex in/out in M4L devices - must have.

I sent a bug report sometime ago about sending data out the midiout (http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=124603) object. I've been getting around it by sending sysex over OSC to a patch in Max 4.6, assuming that this bug will get fixed.
However, word in some previous posts indicates that is simply isn't possible or planned to be possible to send sysex through midiout.
Frankly, it's pretty important for me. Perhaps "terribly important" is a better way to put it. I HAVE to be
able to send sysex from M4L, as well as receive it. I definitely have my own invested reasons, but to speak to a larger need, it's clear that a lot of nice work is being done with software control of hardware interfaces (interfaces that have ableton's name on them), and it would be a shame to cripple this cutting-edge work that is (unfortunately) best enabled by sysex.

I am ALL FOR this feature being added. The idea of having to create a Max patch that runs externally to Live and M4L, and converts SysEx to OSC seems like an awful kludge to have to deal with. SysEx - It's not just for breakfast anymore - it's REALLY REALLY important when working with external synths and the new breed of external controllers. Until every controller out there (and LIVE) speaks OSC, I say we NEED SysEx.
