Still buying a Emagic EMI A62 interface?

Would it be stupid when i still buy a (eventually second hand) EMI 6|2 interface? It's allready going for a couple of years in interfaceland now, but i still like it in terms of specs and sounds...
but is emagic (apple) still making up to date drivers for it and stuff?
would use it with a powerbook and ableton live

If it's anything like the 2/6, forget it. It's crap.

The drivers are still available for download, but they're not likely to be updated or anything.

i do here some happy users though...

only things i'm worring about are driver support in the future, and maybe latency (my friend is running a bit of latency on his powrbook, but the computer is completly 'full' so that may be the reason...

emagic could not say anything about the future drivers support..
