1. Iraq War - Ongoing. Innocents dying every day. No end in sight.
2. Afghanistan - Ongoing. Innocents dying every day. No end in sight (regardless of the smoke n mirrors 'policy discussions' of late.
3. Continued Black Ops in any number of Middle Eastern Countries.
4. Continued Unashamed and Unabashed Support of Israel (blah blah blah rhetoric to the contrary notwithstanding.)
5. Illegal wiretaps and a myriad of other Bush Era Homeland Security Bullshit still in place and going strong.
6. Gitmo - Still open for business and taking new guests every day.

Obama travels the world and offers Mea Culpa. The world and douchebag US citizens buy it hook, line, and sinker. Peace Prize is awarded.

But the real differences between Bush and Obama on these critical issues?
1) theres a big difference between starting the war and continuing the war. Pulling out before the stabilization of the government would be a big mistake. The goal is in sight.
2) Escalation at this point would probably bring peace sooner. If he is forced to do the wrong things for political reasons the consequences will be felt all over the world.
3) I havent a clue about this.
4) This is an absolute travesty and I hope we as americans push our government to stop this.
5) Name one example where the wire taps were used in a court for anything other than the prosecution of terrorists or arresting them. I am personally more safe because of the patoriot act than I would have been with out. IE yousef megahed
6) its a bad situation. He wasnt privy to all the details when he made his promises. The bush administration didnt even have records on all the prisoners. There might be people that dont deserve to be there but there are many who do, releasing them all for because of some bleeding heart liberal political movement is retarded. They are making strides towards the closing of gitmo but I dont think it should be rushed, just pushed forward as fast as safely possible.

Only three of the 763 "sneak-and-peek" requests in fiscal year 2008 involved terrorism cases, according to a July 2009 report from the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts.

if someone plants a bomb to kill lots of people and it goes off

who is at fault?

the bomb maker or the team that failed to diffuse it?

people are more angry at the swat team than the murderer...

The point of my post about "sneak-and-peak" was to show how the patriot act has been abused already. Unfortunately, we don't have access to warrantless wiretap statistics yet, so it can't be shown that the government is or is not abusing this power, but if history is any guide I'd guess it is definitely being abused.

but obama stands for something. america voted for him because he was a symbol for change. he was a black man running for president. the economy was in the shitter. the war seemed endless. the world seemed hopeless for the u.s.
what has changed? he is quickly becoming a symbol for hypocrisy, salesmanship, and pie-in-the-sky liberal incompetence

pie in the sky liberal or pie in your face conservative, no difference unless you really don't like the taste of pie.
