Glitch FX
Is there a Mac OS X Glitch VST/effect available that'll work in Ableton? Thx!
Re: Glitch FX
Try to look at Sugarbytes Effectrix rack or maybe the NI "FInger" Plug, depending on your taste!
Re: Glitch FX
Not sure if it'll work with your build, but check out buffer overdrive. It's free and pretty brilliant.

Re: Glitch FX
good luck on your search, not too familiar with mac apps but just wanted to
also mention that there are alot of cats here that get alot of lives native fx in this area, the beat repeat and others along with combining them, it's not something that I do but I'm sure that if you ask for some good parameter suggestions you'll get alot of good repsonses.

Or.. umm.. click the link above this post that takes you to the same collective (though a different member makes Livecut).logic_user99 wrote:LiveCut. Google it.
I didn't suggest Livecut itself since it's not a controllable glitch effect but works off algorithms in a kinda "random" way. Mind you, I've never touched the plugin. However, I used to program extensively with BBCut, the SuperCollider package it is based on.
Re: Glitch FX
I've been using AudioDamage's BigSeq2 for glitching duties.
Its nothing like Effectrix or dBlue Glitch, but it's good for mashing things up in a general kind of way.
Its amazing what you can do with Live racks. I like slicing an audio clip, then sticking a MIDI arpeggiator before the drum rack and mapping the arp controls to macros - combine this with a rack of beat repeats, grain delays etc (with the chain selector mapped to a macro) and you've got some serious glitch madness..
