As if the US ever acted in anyones interests but the power elite that run it. Over the past fifty years, the US has constantly undermined democracy and human rights globally. In the absence of the communist boogyman, and a united world against the perceived threat of it, the US has totally polarised world opinion squarely upon the basis of its recent actions. I think a lot of people have realised that the US is not some 'friendly world policeman' but de facto, a ruthless freemarket empire. But then people do call me cyincal.
It might be worded cynically, but the meat and potatos of what you said is quite accurate.

Is cynically even a word?

word man,
on the Oud forum its mainly muslims and a couple of us are israeli and some christians also and we just know, only music man only music. lets keep it peace.
Cheers. Yeah man, it's been four iraq war years. I've been on edge the whole time, feeling this thing a bit much maybe. I'm tired of it. I really want to pretend it's not there anymore. I haven't had a tv in my place for over 2 years because of it. Really, I only want to pay attention to my street, the beach and my studio, and everything seems to be fine there.

But we've got the iraq oversight committee this month. We are going to see if if our newly elected congress is in step with the country. It's time to sacrifice our leaders. They should fall on there swords really. I may need my tv for that. Either way I will be satisfied or more pissed off ( most likely PO'd) And after that, I have to let a lot of it go. My outlook is in need of the positive.

Actually, the US does need to be involved; without US weapons and support, Israel would be in much greater peril than it is now. Israel's survival is in our interests. Without Israel, we wouldn't have a single rational and cooperative ally in the middle east.

Pure lies. Israel is far and away the most pluralist, democratic and liberal state in the region.

Let me state this; The second best foreign policy decision made in the 20th century was the creation of Israel. The best foreign policy decision was to give them the support necessary (including nuclear technology) to guarantee their survival into the 21st century.

For the world. Another holocaust is in nobody's interest. Genocidal maniacs who control nations and advocate the annihilation of an entire people must be deterred.

...US citizens don't vote for the president of Iran, you silly twit.

Think what you want about Bush, he's not GENOCIDAL. Arrogant, stupid and blinded by ideology yes, but he doesn't want to eradicate an entire race from existance.

Please smarten up.

Ive seen this on virtually every forum i have been on and here is what i have to say:

Im going to say it was not the wrong step but a possiblity without proper justice. but here is what i have to say of the war and the whole thing together

Why did the US really have to go and invade iraq. We all kno there were no godamn WMDs...now in my perspective its the obvious, oil. Afganistan,Iraq and now Iran. If anyone would bother to note the following. All 3 are muslim dominated countiries. All 3 have large quantites of oil. All 3(with maybe the exception of Iran) have unstable governments.

Now you might be saying what is my point. It is that that godamn monkey(bush) gets away with this crap. And how hes wasting countless lives for his own wealth. ******* bullshit if you ask me.

And whats worse is the majority of the american population. Before i go on, i dont intend any offense on someone patricular its just genral so dont get pist at me. The americans are soo god damn stubborn. They cant ever accept the fact that their country did wrong. And its honestly impossible to convince them other wise.

Now, the only reason america is still considered a superpower is only because they still got a couple thousand nuke warheads from the cold war. And since the Soviets sold a large amount of theirs, whos going to contend. America is obviously not a smart country...and i know this post most likely made no sense but its cuz im so damn pist at this. iunnoo..just felt i had to post this i guess

Now people say that the Iraqi government posed this death sentence. Did you forget that the Americans helped(by that i mean controlled) the election?! And how often in our jolly good world has America not had a say on something...ugh i need some heavy metal...please dont take this offensivly..just conversation

A: refrain from being an immature little twit, for starters.

B: How many people have died in Iraq and Afghanistan under Bush's watch. Argue all day about how it is Iraq IED's killing innocent Iraqis, but make no mistake, the catalyst was the invasion of Iraq. So maybe he isn't a genocidal maniac, per se. He's simply a mass murderer.

Smarten up? Bitch please.
