Americans are NOT stupid

WASP is a term used in the United States derived from an acronym for White Anglo-Saxon Protestant.
The term does not have a precise definition and can be used to describe greatly differing sociological groups. The WASP acronym originated in reference to White Americans with a history in the establishment, who are alleged to form a powerful elite. Some may use the term to describe any white person who does not claim any minority affiliation, regardless of their socio-economic status or actual ancestry.
So basically, these guys:
I find it really weird how so many people still Identify with the term "Anglo Saxon"
the Anglo Saxons were conquered a thousand years ago (in England at least - where the mix occurred - in Europe they were 2 seperate peoples) and ruled by the Normans since - until the nation combined eventually decided to collectively call themselves british, then mixed with all kinds of people, Hugenot, Scots, Irish, Welsh, Cornish, Jewish, Spanish, Dutch etc etc etc etc etc
anyone in Britain (or it's colonies) today is at the very most 25% Anglo Saxon

Man I am barred from living there longterm at all
Due to certain immigration laws I'd rather not discuss.
Unless someone knows a way to work around it that is.
Ditto Canada & New Zealand for example also.
And I have a place in the states I could live and work at full time in the Antiques business.
Somewhere between a rock and a hard place is actually nowhere.

The fact of hijicking the name for exclusive use cannot be disconnected from US politics for past 100 years. They are the authority that dictates and decides what is right what is wrong, it worked in Chile with Pinochet did not with Fidel.
It was Jose Feliciano who made me aware of that hijacking of the "American" . You might have noticed that I usually use the Norteamericano while referring to US residents. American applies to anyone from Alaska to Patagonia.
