I will learn first, as I intended to do soon with the regular MAX/MSP, then I'll do some patches on my own, as I'd like to experiment specific functions (like self-organizing systems, etc..)

I have not used max yet, but I intend to buy m4l and learn it. I am a software developer by day so I am not expecting it to be too difficult so am looking forward to the challenge.

I am also really looking forward to the community that this product is going to spawn. nothing like lots of people learning off each others creations.

Lets just hope the m4l pricing isn't too scary. I am hoping it is a lot cheaper than the full max environment because they are likely to shift more units than the standard max imho.

One quite exciting possibility is the concept of virtual circuit bending. Taking someone elses synths and effects and just ramdomly emssing about with the wiring. Could produce some quite unpredicatble results.

Oh got this thread has got me all excited now. Might grab the max 5 demo and have a tinker.
