^^^ wow, that sounds cool. OSX on a netbook, sweet.

hmmm... that raises a question... anyone know if there are laptops [PCs] that can run boot camp style Windows XP and 98 [don't laugh, but need it for some shitty motorola software] and OSX, i need if it works a PC, because i need an RS232 Port, it's for work...

and some companies i work with need that OS i hate so very much.

but if i could use OSX for audio stuff like Live, etc. and having windows for the occasional motorola, sennheiser shite, etc....

hmmm.

anyone?

It would be a pretty neat live setup. The Mini9 running audio loops, drum racks, and external MIDI, and then another Macbook doing all the effects, virtual instruments, and audio interfacing. Connect them with an ethernet cable to pipe audio back and forth. The Mini9 would be like a sequencer/sampler/drum machine all in one.

i dont see why you couldnt boot from a second hard disk.. i'm just not sure if something 'parallel' style will work.

What about the new Sony Vaio P series? Its got a 2 ghz Atom.
And its really cute! :D The atom cpu seem to run much better on Windows 7 BTW...

Oops...wait..its waaay to expensive: $1899 8O
Sony Store

They had me for a minute there. I though it was just one model for $800, but that was just the smallest one. :( Oh well, hopefully it will get more affordable next year, with typical intel tradition.

If it can run a few tracks and a few synths,
i want it! I got 3 other laptops, but this one would be perfect for the backpack when biking through India etc. + a nano kontrol, how cute is that? :D
