I used to work with an NT server called Snowball.

I'm hoping those rumors about changes to Finder and Spotlight are true. I hate it that a search in Finder always defaults to searching the whole computer instead of the damn folder I chose to search. Has to be a bug, cuz it don't make no damn sense.

I don't use spotlight, but if you open finder, then click on the folder you are looking in, then type the file name you want to find into the search bar, it only defaults to searching the whole computer - above your search results are two bubbles on the left, one for "this computer" and one for the folder you are searching in. Click on the folder name, and your search area will be limited to that folder. Yeah, it's kinda lame that it defaults to searching the whole computer, but I never really thought about it 'til now.

Actually you are using Spotlight -it is integrated into the Finder in both Tiger & Leopard. :)

The codebase is completely optimized and tweaked in ways you can't even imagine. Even though it's a bigger and more powerful OS it's leaner, lighter, and significantly faster.
