I did buy the Care Card. Perhaps it was a silly thing to do, perhaps not. I'll let you know at the end of 2005.
Though I am not so anti Native Instruments as a lot of people here seem to be. I thought the Komplete 2 package was an excellent bargain!!! Reaktor 4 alone was worth the price. I have tried the demo of Guitar Rig and love it. I will definitely buy it!!!
I have heard that their support is rubbish. Well, they have always been helpful to me and answered all my questions.
That's my 2 bobs worth.
I completely agree. I've never had any problems with NI, be it support, re-authorizing my Komplete2 package, or updates. I've found them to be very quick to reply.
I also got the Care Card, BTW.

I don't think NI is an evil company. Komplete was a rare example of a popular plug-in company cutting people a deal. Imagine a Waves Diamond Komplete deal... ain't gunna happen.
As far as the guy whineing and moaning that he's not making enough money as a musician, well, that's just kind of pathetic.
The Care Card thing is kind of weird though. If you buy it, you may come a way from the transaction feeling a little shakey. If you don't buy it, you also may feel a little shakey. There's something to be said about a company stating the cold hard facts and being as upfront as possible when hard earned cash is changing hands, especially when the product is primarily intangeble and easily obtained illegally.

I just bought an Ni komplete 2 lastweek for £300 and they are shipping out Battery 2 and Absynth 3 for nowt not even any ahipping charges. Decent company it seems to me.
I managed to find one of the last pre-order boxsets available and was able to bring down the price from £400 to £300 mainly because i shop a lot at that store.
I wont be buying the pr-order Komplete 2 care package as Ni say that i should wait till later in the year ?
