Same problem... wouldn't be the first time this has happened with new devices. Repairing library now.

From pure frustration from the demo Amp not showing up, I upgraded to Suite and now everything is working as it should.

Maybe this is some kind of new selling policy?

Cheers!

Hi everyone - we have had an issue in getting Amp out to users of Suite 8.2 trial version or demo version. We are working on it and it should be fixed shortly - thank you for your patience.

In the mean time, if you own Suite 8, and have upgraded to Suite 8.2, then you should have Amp. If you don't, please try the following:
- Make sure that you've installed Suite 8.2, and allowed all the new packages to install.
- Check your Ableton account and see if you've got an Amp serial number listed.

If you DO have an Amp serial number listed:
- Try reauthorizing your computer.
- If reauthorizing doesn't work, try repairing your library - under Preferences->Library.
- If you still don't have Amp, contact [email protected]. Please include the email under which you have your Ableton account.

If you DON'T have an Amp serial number listed:
- Try reauthorizing your computer.
- If you still don't have Amp or an Amp serial number listed, contact [email protected]. Please include the email under which you have your Ableton account.

Hi Dave,
Any update on this, and just to confirm this would let you see/use the amp and cab in the Audio Effects section(on there own), because all I see now is a couple of racks in Audio Effect Rack that incorporate amp and are locked. Oh, and will you have to re-download the Live 8.2 Suite Demo once its fixed?
Thanks!!!

Here's a work around since Ableton could not be bothered to fix this. You can download the ableton 8 trial/demo version (it doesn't even have to be suite, save the bandwidth!!). After its installed choose to just try live 8 and hit START, no need to get a 30 day trial key(unless you need to save your projects). The packages will install as usual but faster since Suite installs much more. Once its done you'll notice Amp is still not on the list of installed effects/instruments, nor is it in the Audio Effects folder list. :( :( Here's how to get to the Amps/Cabs, go to folder 1 under the plugins folder, then go to Lessons, then Sets, double click Amp-Guitar Examples, the set will open and you can demo the Amps/Cabs!!!!

Thanks for making this easy Dave :( :(
