Where's Amp?

Hello and thanks for your help.

In my Ableton user account under downloads it says I have Ableton Suite 8.

I've just downloaded 8.2. I can't find Amp? When I click on About Live it says I 'm using Live 8.2-now Live Suite 8.2?

What am I doing wrong?

Go into your 'Live Devices' (top left). Amp should be under 'Audio Effects'.
It's normal that it says 'Ableton Live 8' under 'about' as Ableton Live is the name of the program. The 'suite' part just means it comes bundled with a bunch of extra instruments and effects (which you can find in the Live Devices tab).

Thank you Bloodsample.

According to your instructions Amp should be right under 'Ambient & Evolving' in the Aduio Effects Folder in alphabetical order. It is no where to be found.

When I look at the Help View it says 8.2 Live comes with 'free sounds for Live users' I click this and it says 'this version comes with new sounds built using Amp? and there's a link: Guitar Amp Racks. When I click that it takes me to Audio Effect Racks under Audio Effects and it simply opens that menu-still no Amp?

OK and I have both a Mac And Windows machine-everything is fine on the Windows platform?

I had the same issue. I clicked repair library than reauthorized my computer and amp showed up.

I have exactly the same issue. Updated to 8.2, I already run Suite, but no "Amp." Will try repairing library and see how it goes...

You simply have to delete the current unlock file i.e. the unlock.cfg in Live's preferences folder and authorize Live again. Amp will be among Live's devices afterwards assumed you own Live Suite 8.2.

I 'simply' deleted the current unlock file and authorized Live again and still no success......

Go online and log into your account if Amp isn't among your products contact tech support...

Simply search for unlock.cfg, make hidden files visible before...

After repairing the library, Amp and Cabinet were available. So reparing did work for me.
