May I add there have been some very minor glitches I guess you can call them..... IDK if thats the interface or 10.6.6 or the FW 800 drive or the FW 400 drive which is connected to the interface or what. But all and all very minor problem.

Apart from the minor glitches you mention (i will keep an eye out as i have FW400 ext drives, this is good news.

Dudeness... do you use the wall wart or bus power in your set up?

oh... and when daisy chaining your HD, is it in between the Firestudio and the computer or after it?

Bus power bro. No need for the wall wart. This model does not have the power up problem using bus power like the previous Firebox had on MBPs. I have the computer then the FIRESTUDIO mobile then the Firewire 400 drive. I read to do this order on the site when I had my old Firebox because I was having sync problems with having the drive then the interface. (I was having problems on the old interface. I did not try drive then interface with the FIRESTUDIO mobile. It may not matter on this. But it may matter.)

So far its good. Was using the headphones last night and it was distorting the bass freqs even on low volumes, went into the mixer and made some adjustments and now is fine. Used the MIDI cable to record some piano, everything registered in Live nicely and my other favorite DAW garageband The knobs are solid and it looks cool sitting on top of my PreSonus HP4.

Half way there bro... gots me some piano chops that the bongos will marry perfectly ... got a lot on so am only finding little bits of time here and there... Stay tuned.

Hey no prob broness. Yeah, I had to tweak the mixer at first too to get everything right. ahaaa. Hell yeah, GARAGEBAND! Yeah the knobs are def wuts up. I read they are sealed. Which I guess means no dust gets in. Which I guess mean you will never get crackle from dirty knobs. (Which happen on my old FIREBOX ) HP4? JAM SESH?! Yep, you got it. Plus 2 pre amp ins, 6 line ins.

Dont be overoptimistic, I use the mobile since nearly a year but headphone pot had to be replaced after just few months, otherwise no issues.It is probably the best deal for cheap interface - better latency compared to Focusrite, TC, Echo while similar sound quality, more inputs, less size.

Mobile was a temporary solution for stage, till Babyface comes out but now see no reason for swap, Presonus - more inputs, leaves me 1 more USB free, less loss in case it gets nicked.
No over or uber but you can surely stay standaroptimistic.

So far so good. The LED's are flippin bright

Couple of things about the mixer i don't get yet, but i have not read the structions yet

Now that bongo's are out of the way, next to do is some vocals and guitars via the NT2000.
