Wow, great detailed ideas :::
Why did u suggest izotope? Is it the best or does it have a certain sound to it? Will melodyne or waves tune work?
When vocal correcting the phrases, were you saying to take the whole phrase that was going to be used, and pitch shift it to all octaves of C so that it can be played all across the keyboard?
Also, why did you say "Use the beginnng of words on lower notes,, the end on upper notes , and the cool sounding slices in between". What would you achieve by doing this? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious.
Thanks
Only suggested Nectar (cause of the demo to try out - as did not know you had one). - any pitch correction vst will do (melodyne, waves, antares, nectar, etc). Hell I think there are even a few free ones for pc... might give a dif flava.
Take the whole phrase and pitch correct it to C
and then
Take the whole phrase and pitch correct it to D
and then
Take the whole phrase and pitch correct it to E
etc, etc do this for the whole scale (whatever you are working in)
This way you can chop and select from each phrase (per note) and put the parts on the corresponding notes.
Like...
Chopped bits of the C line on C notes
Chopped bits of the D line on D notes
Select the cool bits from each line and put them on the right notes (that way you can play the sampler and all the vocal fx bits are still gonna be in tune). and you got lots of selection (128 dif notes). I skip correcting to the sharps and just extend the region of the sampler to cover those notes (D extends to D#).
I suggested putting the start of words on lower notes, then ends on upper notes and cool sounding slice bits in between... just for ease of remembering. You could put them in any order or way you like.. but I like some system in layout of a sampler.. just so that If I want to stutter the start of a word (NN NN NNin Nineteen) I can find it with as little plunking about as possible.
Make some Noize
