yeah, i thought the dl was a little steep. however all of the dls they offer are higher than standard quality. they weren't trying to gouge. by the end of the night last night, my bloody valentine had posted the whole album, for free on their youtube channel.
i got the vinyl/cd/download package....which was about 30 bucks (40 all said and done (shipping etc.) there were dudes bitching about that price last night on twitter. i mean, you are lucky if you find any new vinyl, for under 17 bucks...plus a cd, plus a download? forgedaboudit!!!

this stuff costs money, especially if you are putting it out yourself.... i think things like spotify and youtube, have spoiled us into thinking that putting out an album, doesn't. or that we should settle for less than quality audio files, because they are cheaper.
musicians need to eat too.
plus....the album is pretty phenomenal. it took 22 years to make. it was labored over to make it sound as perfect as it could be, not just shitted out. (like most new albums, these days) im willing to pay a little more for the extra love that was put into it, to make it amazing.

just listened to it twice. i QUITE like it. but it's not blowing me away. i think it will be a grower though, fingers crossed. but the drums in one or two of the tracks just seem like loops added in. some definite greatness in places

nothing beats soon though, that's magnificent

listened this morning on headphones walking around town-- i feel good all over...

worth the wait.
