$90.15 Customs and Taxes

30.86 GST
$43.20 PST (BC)
$84.01 Total

Kinda annoying that I paid in Canadian dollars but since the shipping documents said the value was 599 USD I got taxed based on $617 Canadian. Oh well, at least I have it now!

I double checked my credit card account to see exactly what I paid in HST and duty on the Push,
and discovered two Canada Post Corp charges for the same day and the same amount of $90.15.
I don't know the break down on the charges because the customs invoice was a self adhesive thing that was applied wrong.
The Postal worker who brought it to my door took the whole sticky mess of paperwork back with her. (rural route delivery )

I realize this is a Canada Customs Canada Post screw up not Ableton in any way, but it adds to the sad saga as experienced.

Gotta push away the bad vibes and make music

You should be able to get info from CP from the tracking number on the box. BTW the reason they weren't showing on tracking after clearing customs is that CP CHANGED TRACKING NUMBERS. So if you phone to find out why you were billed twice..

Now.. off to the push tutorial section so I can figure out how to use this awesome thing!

Well it's here. Took $85 for Canada Post to release it, but the wait is over. Now to see if it was worth it. (And ya.. they give it a new tracking number and don't let you know {argh}. I signed for it before they even updated their system. Pretty embarrassing to CP, I think.) Anyway... time to play.

Given Canada Post's history I'm not expecting any tracking info until the package is delivered.
I'm hoping get a card sometime next week saying it is at the post office waiting for me to pay an extra $130 or so for customs and hst.

mine disappeared from canadapost tracking as soon as it cleared customs too, but it arrived 3 days later.

Long and mcquade just got a big shipment in. Including my online order. They said they got enough to cover all orders plus extra for stores. Just a heads up.

I guess I got lucky!

I live 10 min from the US border so I ordered directly by phone and had it shipped to a shipper/receiver over the line. (The only way I could combine Canadian billing addy with a US shipping addy.) Drove down and picked it up, cleared customs in 10 minutes and ended up with one of the very first in the country. (End of March!)
