Maybe they could call them "Follow Envelopes"?

All good! No negativity taken, because there really wasn't any there in the first place.

I was thinking about how Session Crossfades might be set up, and yeah it does get kind of tricky, but it could be done. It would need:

1. The ability to link what clips you wanted to crossfade.
2. The ability to indicate a fade in or a fade out for the chosen clips.
3. The ability to set the duration of the crossfade.

Beyond that it would be up to the user to make do with it.

The actual crossfade would have to separate from the volume envelope too, in case you wanted for example: Clip A to crossfade into Clip B, but not Clip C. So there could also be:

4. Crossfade envelope type: slow, normal, fast (or something along those lines).

For anyone still searching for a way to do this (I am ... since I've got a gaggle of ambient textures stacked in a Session View track and I would love to (more like need to) smoothly transition between them) ...
