You missed the topic...
It's not a matter of simply using a fader to control Live tempo.
It's about using the fader for the tempo AND the pitch bend wheel to beatmatch, instead of riding the fader.
Got it now?
Next time try to read previous posts.

If you don't know what you are missing then you probably don't need it so no need to worry
Cheers good Dr.

Wicked well done!!!
I'm a DJ who's moving into production so know excatly why i would need this!! Trouble is i'm using a pc so if anyone knows how to make the virtual midi port??
I take it i still need to warp marker some of the track but when it goes out of time i can now just correct using the pitch bend??!!

^ son, u need to warp marker everything!
u could use his trick to correct bad warping, but it'd be better practice to just warp right, and not rely on that...this trick will be great for when beatmatching ableton to cd/ vinyl back and forth,
last week i played at my residency here, and sometimes for that i use ableton 100% and sometimes i use CD's/ vinyl. last time i wanted to do ableton as the "third turntable," and it was really tough using only the master tempo assigned to a knob. i constantly wanted to pitch bend the ableton, as a cdj, but couldnt!
im going to finally try this now

now im working on getting this to work from a midi CC or note. The PD patch works great, but in the end i hope to achieve this without having to have a midi keyboard in my live rig - rather my bcr2000, uc33, or uc17 (none of these have a pitchbend wheel.)
ill be happy to just use plogue or Bome's to translate a cc or note(s) into Pitch bend, and send that pitch bend to the Dr. Zoiberg's patch, and that to Live.
or i'll re-create it with bome's and/ or plogue.
this really will open up my DJing in new ways...very exciting.
i'd like to eventually get two buttons acting as + and -, just like most cd players.
one idea - using plogue, one note on message pushes the tempo UP, and another pushes the tempo DOWN. problem is, getting the tempo to go BACK to exactly where it was before on note-off.

As suggested, try Midiox
http://www.midiox.com/
Next version will work with buttons too.

Cheers. Been trying to find a why to do this for ages. Always seemed to fall over at the last hurdle. Will give it a try soon as I get a chance.

can this be assigned to a knob on midi controler instead of keyboard pitch slider?
