Lame responses..... yuck... men can be pretty misogynistic with a little anonymity.... :(

Also plastic breasts are gross IMO.

Hi Diana

Welcome!

Sorry you've got to put up with a bunch of losers here when all you're doing is seeking technical help as a fellow musician. Your topic heading probably didn't do you any favors...

Hopefully, you'll find the answers you need among the juvenile schoolboy comments.

Yeah, it is a pity that some of us responded in such an unchivalrous manner. Some of us are actually quite chivalrous. I am surprised that a particular ones haven't offered their help already.

This community is nice. The software is just as sweet. I think you made the right decision, but the tutorials and manual are really the way to go.

BTW, to the holier than thou guys: anyone in this day and age who knows how to join a forum knows what is gonna happen when they title a thread in a manner that suggests their gender influence a volunteered service. I just got done writing some papers on liberalism and feminism so I hope your generalized misogynist lable does not include me!

You're right... the attention-seeking thread topic on a known predominantly-male forum was like waving a red flag in front of a bull...

What I could answer has been answered but I still wanted to jump into this thread.

Yeah, let's not scare anyone away.....were a good bunch 'o dudes really (well, mostly.....)

I do like some of those pictures though

Wasn't the last question something about latency?

Here's the thing......if you use a higher sample rate, the latency reduces automatically. Here's one that seems to work universally, mac or pc, most soundcards (motu specifically I think.......)

512 buffer. On live, I find it best the set the buffer at "follow hardware buffer" in the preferences.

24/96 bit/samplerate. Yes, this can tax the cpu some..........but, you will get better "math" in your recording.....which in general........sounds better :) That is what I use on my traveler (basically the same driver) imac 2.0 ghz, and live OR logic pro.

Now, at 24/96........it's really hard......especially on a laptop.....to go below 512. Maybe 256 in some situations. But when you hear about "64" buffer settings, that is usually based on 44.1.....or maybe 48 sample rate.

Ok........this is a bit much. And I'm sure there will be some with a difference of oppinion..........so I'll check back later.
