Beautiful video. Amzing performance. No irony, no pretension, and absolutely no nothing but the music to escape into. The guy is in good physical shape, looks healthy in body and mind, and his knowledge and chops seem indicative about it. Face it. If you can't handle his sincere presentation it's because you are having a difficult time handling that "Dad" just skooled you.

I wish I was more like "Dad."

LOL!! That's why I haven't been able to wrap my brain around taking this stuff out in front of a live audience. I'm terrified I may end up looking like that.....not that I look like the guy, but if it's anything even close....I'd rather wear a giant papier mache pumpkin on my head and call myself punkinhead or something and work that angle..........sheesh....

IMO, that's what laptop live music looks like when the computer and mouse are visible, no matter how "cool" the musician/DJ looks. Watch Chemical Brothers live. They don't look much better. They might as well be surfing the net (they probably are!) It's the rest of the stage act (real band, lights, dancers, visuals) that make it worth watching. Otherwise, there's nothing worth seeing.

There's no escaping how goofy laptop live music looks without hiding the computer and mouse!

of course he does. Craig is a VERY nice guy. And you know what? That video should be inspirational because

1) it takes guts to get out in front of any crowd and play your stuff
2) age is not a factor for music, it never should be... and every minute you are older as well. What a slippery slope of critical analysis you all fall into here... just sayin'
3) its refreshing to see someone just do it, even with their shirt tucked in and wearing a belt!

You don't have to imagine your performance being like Craig's. He is what he is - a true enthusiast who knows more about gear and functional workflow that (probably) 90% of us on this board. But make your performance what you want it to be. No need in dragging down those that do it because they love it and all that.

The world is already hard on all of us - why do that to someone is part of what we do too?

the jam sounded great. Pretty good demo overall, includes singing and guitar. But sorry, the combination of dancing + wardrobe == hurting.

Something I learned a long time ago: you are male and get past a certain age, NObody wants to see you dance. NOOOObody, not even you in the freaking mirror, and ESPECIALLY in slacks and shirt of the type worn to an office job.

The *only* exception is indian dancing. There is nothing greater than people indian dancing at any age.

can't argue with his skills, though,

[another edit-- really, jeans, t-shirt and better glasses/lazik, it'd be great ]
