He magically got a lot cooler looking once he started wailing on the guitar... :P
15" PB 2.5 Ghz, 4 Gig RAM, 750 GB HD, Live 9 still no cue points or program change messages?!?. Doesn't do shit.

he does look pretty goofy, but he's also pretty well respected in the electronic music community... he's published books, plugins, hardware, the whole nine yards...

The effects on the video are funny.

Not as cool as the "zoom in and out really quickly" effect seen on "Stones in the Park"

oh yeah, no disrespect to the guy, i just got a chuckle from that guitar bit.
I bet he's forgotten more than I'll ever know about a lot of cool stuff.

I totally respect his knowledge and expertise but good lord he shouldn't be allowed to behave that way in public.

However this video did inspire me to load up some clips of crowds cheering for my next live set. ;)

That's what I perceive live laptop EDM to look like (apart from the guitar).

I'd rather stick toothpicks under my fingernails.

next time someone tells me
"it's all about the choons man, no-one cares what you look like!"
I'm posting that video.

that is dad dancing taken to the next level.

that is truly awful, wince-makingly bad. It tells you more about the industry that he is "respected" than it does about him.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present the new Jimi Hendrix!

HA!

I have always thought, "who the fuck is this guy" everytime I see a Craig Anderton article or worse, demo...

Funny someone else called this out before I did! The whole thing with that guy just reeks of the 80's "hey dude" pro audio salesman who finally woke up one day, and HAD to figure out how to use a computer to still keep his meanial existence. We had the worst audio sales people where I grew up who were lower then any used car salesmen. Just total hessians.

Sorry, I just can't help but to order online to save myself the embaressment of dealing with "Joe Pro Audio"...

Anyways, yeah, Craig Anderton was one of the guys who did in fact "wisen up" and was open to the future way of making music. I'm sure he's smart as hell...

That makes me even more determined to get the computer and mouse out of sight. It looks like e-mail checking no matter how you sugar-coat it.
