Agreed 100%.
+1
Some of the most talented live dudes on this forum are cool with the ot's and give great advice.
What if there was an ot section and they just stayed over there?
I bet plenty of posters would come to the ot section for live questions anyway.
But you know what? I bet they would be welcomed.

Isn't that what a "General" forum would be for, more or less?

who gives a shit if someone with 5 posts wants an OT forum....they havent even seen how rank it can get
and once you give them an OT forum, they want a POLITICS forum...and then a SEX CHANGE forum....

So look at the poll count. The, "I couldn't care lesses" are added to the "I like it's's" at 59% so far.
And b0unce is right, The, "I'm sick of it's" have very low post counts, so you knock off another 50%
and suddenly the "I'm sick of it's" are in the hole 9%. So I guess they owe us, but i'm not sure what.

yep - what else do you need to say in General that isnt tips or tricks, feature requests or bug reports?
I have a vision of a stale lifeless general forum full of "gee, isnt Live swell?" "golly it sure is!"
and we seem to have this debate every few days.
The Abes have said they are not going to. end of story.

-I voted YES

You guys are looking at it the wrong way.
You dont need to move the threads you dont like somewhere else, you just need to not be able to see them.
It would be cool if when posting a thread you can mark it as off topic and users can have an option in their profile which indicates wether or not they see off topic posts.
Ave a good night kids.
nice

Get rid of "tips n tricks" & "link your music", bring those posts back into "General". And create an OT section. Simple. Failing that, "Ignore User" function would be nice.
Oh, and sorry if I haven't made enuf posts on here for my opinion to be taken seriously.

Forced Moderation/Change = start posting OT threads in the Bugs, Music, Tips, Feature, Beta forums. That'll surely wake the Abes up

No moderation - learn to moderate yourself
You have total control over what you read, how you read it and why you read it
I like the idea of a un moderated forum - you really do get to know your community - the other people who use LIVE
Some of us aren't making music 24 / 7 and we have lives outside of the actual program...it's cool when you get to actually share with people what's going on with you, what you're thinking etc
We're a community and we should be able to moderate ourselves - cause think about
if I was the moderator I'd lock all threads that didn't have at least one reference to CARL COX or DAVE CLARKE or DJ PREACH - and that's not really fair is it?
