Hey Grobe, that's awesome. I have been studying spanish for a year, and I am just amazed at how people here can speak so much technical jargon in another language other than their native tongue. Don't fret about it, it helps keep me determined to become bilinguil.Dj-Grobe wrote:

About the Imac. I have had a hard time justifying not getting one. I can get a fresh copy of XP home so I can still use all my favorite shareware plugs with parallels or bootcamp, etc
I plan on spending much more time working on music at home, so the occasional show with it wouldn't be so burdensome. This is why I just cancelled my Toshiba notebook order. I haven't made up my mind what would be the best use of $1200. Notebook/desktop/small form factor etc
You pay a premium for a notebook. And you get a hit in performance. Buying a laptop is never really that cost effective in comparison to a desktop. Buying the latest technology in a laptop is going to be so much more costly than it's relative desktop counterpart.
Only big downside I see on the Imac is lack of multiple hard drives and if something happens to the entire monitor, the whole machine is rendered useless until it gets fixed (and I imagine that would be an expensive repair)
