hey wait!
i've tried this out now - i'm sure i'm doing it just as it's being described but this technique doesn't seem to allow you to manipulate the pitch of a constant stream of audio that is being input into live in realtime - it only allows you to sample part of that constant stream of sound and THEN alter the pitch of that one sample in real time...
i.e. you can't scratch and change pitch simultaneously like you can with a controller one or if you have a pitch change plugin (such as audio damage's discord 2) set up to be controlled by midi
if i'm wrong then please correct me but i don't see how this technique gives the desired result.
does anyone know if you can really change the pitch of an uninterrupted stream of audio in real time using live rather than just change the pitch of a sampled clip??? it should work kinda like a vocoder innit...
any help or feedback much appreciated!!!
