I A/B my Audiophile 24/96 PCI with my Apogee Duet and the results quite noticeable.
The 24/96 sounded like mush. No detail and very lifeless.

drivers for audio cards can be a bitch.. they do take a long time as with my FW1814.. my only other experience w/ m-audio is the sputnik and it sounds great..

No-one is going to start producing windows XP 64 drivers at this time.

With windows 7 now in beta, they probably won't produce any new Vista 64 drivers either, they'll skip straight to Window 7.

You should have researched this before buying the interface. Many soundcard manufacturers have not produced XP64, or Vista 64 drivers (some haven't even done Vista 32). If you are embracing 64 bit in Windows, you are severely hamstrung in available choices that functions well. It can work nicely but only if you know for sure your audio and MIDI devices have rock solid 64 bit drivers. XP64 has been a dead o/s for more than a year now, everyone was focused on Vista and now they are focused on Windows 7.

M-Audio products are not very good IMHO. Especially post Digidesign. The older PCI cards were OK.
