Audition is not available on Mac.
SoundBooth is .... but it could be too simple for the OP.

TC Electronic used to make a great editor called Spark XL. real shame they discontinued it, but you may be able to find it if you look around. never made it to intel, though - ppc only

I remember SparkXL, but you must be getting old. Then again my first Mac ran OS 6. Amazing what you can do all on a floppy.
