^ that's the point LSZ. with other products/OS you can just customize your shit without having to hack it. it always blows my mind how some will swear that Apple is perfect and then jailbreak their shit 8O What? which is it?

don't get me wrong, i'm not plugging Androids or Windows or any of that shit... i'm just chuckling at the irony that is jailbreaking.

Windowsboi: but you can customize it
Appleboi: fuck customizing it's perfect
Windowsboi: ok
Appleboi: a new law passed saying jailbreaking is legal in the US. horray!
Windowsboi: :?

1) Go to jailbreakme.com in Safari on your iPad.
2) Slide the unlock bar to jailbreak.

I do know what you're saying, it can be pretty convoluted, but this method is pretty sweet.

um jailbreaking isn't just for customization...sooo.....lol

but anyway, yea they pretty much got some easy jailbreaking these days. Since there is more than one way to do it on different versions of i0s, you are bound to run into some different gay ways

it'll never be perfect, but meh... at least the ability to add whatever device you like to other networks and incorporate other resources is a reality - regardless of whose [base] product you prefer. we've come a long way since this:

It's staggering that we thought at the time how cool the home Atari system was...

One thing is for certain: this unGODLY resurgence in bit music is completely misguided.

:x

I've got near zero video game nostalgia. A few months back I plugged in my old PS2 to play what I remembered was an epic game. After about 5 minutes of playing I realized it was in fact SHIT and I shit it off. :x

God of War?

A few times a year I get the itch to play arcade games from the 87-93 era.
Rastan was my all time fav. I still don't go to great lengths to beat it; not knowing all of it keeps the nostalgia. Still a sucker for Mappy, too.

I have an old XBox packed full of emulators, every once in a while I have to go back and play some Atari and Colecovision and Intellivision and MAME stuff.

There are a few games (Master of Monsters on the Genesis, lots of Koei games for various platforms) that were truly epic and haven't been recreated, and then there's stuff like SimCity for the SNES -- there have been 10,000 new Sim ____ games, none of which capture the fun of the original.

So I'll bring it back and ask; do the iDevices still need to be jailbroken to use emulators like MAME?

Actually, several features (like AirPlay) have been implemented that used to only be available via jailbreaking.

However, the number one reason to jailbreak for me? AirPlay of ANYTHING on the screen.

The amount of graphics bloat on Win7 is fucking STAGGERING. :x ffs. With all the special FX it runs it was actually starting to bring my machine to it's knees. Turned off all that bloat and...whoa...vast improvement.

Right click on Computer.
Select Properties
Select Advanced System Settings
Select Advanced
Under Performance select Settings
Turn off everything but show thumbnails and smooth edges of screen fonts
Be amazed at the VAST improvement in overall speed.

8O

:x

Now if I can just figure out how in the fuck to prevent Win7 from asking me 50 fucking times if I want to overwrite something or not.

Well so far it's far better than the even pre-Vista system we had with the old company, but I've only been on it for half a day.

TRUE STORY: Under the last employer I was a bit concerned about my frequency on this forum at work, but I realized with the thousands upon thousands of employees they probably didn't have the time to monitor employees unless given a good reason.

So today with our new systems up under the new employer I decided to just see if I would have access to this forum. While in town I decided to post this:
beats me wrote:I've got near zero video game nostalgia. A few months back I plugged in my old PS2 to play what I remembered was an epic game. After about 5 minutes of playing I realized it was in fact SHIT and I shit it off. :x
BUT just when I was about to hit submit some IT guy in cyberspace without warning or permission started remotely controlling my computer. 8O :x

He needed to make some changes to my email and called about 10 seconds after he started controlling it to let me know what's up, didn't mention anything about what I had up, but still FUCK!! :x :x :x

I talked to one of the managers about internet usage and he said as long as people are doing what they are supposed to be doing, there's no complaints, and money is coming in they really aren't too concerned about what you are doing on the computer within reason. :) :x
