To the OP welcome to the Ableton forums mate, you'll need to have thicker skin in order to hang with this lot.
But for the most part they really are warm and fuzzy

reminds me of this story...
early AM in NYC, man attacks woman, homeless man defends woman, gets stabbed. attacker and woman flee. for the next hour+ people stepped over the dying man's body. when the medics got to him he was dead.

if you see an rtfm and it ticks you off, FFS answer the question. or knowing that it's a bad answer, just step over the problem and keep walking, errr lurking...
OP sounds more like a disgruntled regular feeling hated on.

^ having said that, and ALL that's been said thus far... there are actually a lot of RTM responses I've seen that are not rude. Some make the knee jerk post, but then follow up with more info explaining how good the manual actually is on this point or that and give their own experience of how the manual helped and they read it while taking a dump etc.
In the end the important thing to remember is Manuel can be very helpful...
Manuel makes the best tacos
Manuel has this cousin (from across the border) who does great work at a great price!
So lets all remember that you should check with Manuel first!
wait, what were we talking about?

Since when should the amount of money you spend on a product dictate the online conduct of its users?
What kind of utopian wet dream are you living in?
Yes people can be assholes. As in the real world.
I would hope that you would do the same thing you would do with assholes in the real world, and ignore them.
Other than that, you want help with stuff, ask. Ignore the assholes.

Is that really how you want to present yourselves as a community? Pathetic. I'm done with this forum, this is obviously not a community I want to involve myself with at all.

So i personally apologize to the OP. I usually try and make sure everyone is taken care of. Do you have any specific questions?

Links of funny clips and pictures aside, actually he's got a point. Everyone should be able to expect some level of courtesy when using these forums. Its an official forum, not a private playground for certain individuals.
Now, I dont know about you (perhaps many of you ARE kids for all i know), but I wouldnt like it if my (non existant) 10 year old was browsing through these forums and read "fuck this, fuck that, its fucking cool you bitch, yeah"... and so on in a seemingly never ending manner. Even worse, when people get talked down to like they are plainly stupid. Even if you are right, there are several ways of expressing that notion. Honestly the english language is getting messed up by all this nonsense these days.
Most of you people probably dont mind that the op now may leave permanently. You rationalize with him being weak, a whiner and whatnot. You expect him to see your way of communicating as the right one. Personally I think its a shame when someone try to give a completely honest view of how they perceive these forums, and basically every one of you fail to recognize even one of his points. RIP op.
Anyways, just felt like someone should take the other side here for once. Lynch mobs arent very cool, but I guess they just are more acceptable here than on other forums I've been a member of. Guess I'll have to skip some pages now and then to get to the good stuff, judging from what I've seen so far, but that works just fine for me.
PS: And dont waste your time pointing out my weaknesses and my lack of knowledge of how these forums work. I dont care. Ok?
