Q. If I buy M4L now for $210, how fucking pissed will I be when it's included with Live9 in a few months time?
A.

Henke did a good move with its granulator.
At first he wanted to price and then he's set it free as a lot of max patches.
Ableton should do the same and go for a runtime.
For poor users like me who don't want or have not enough time to create patches.
I was dreaming about the day I would receive a coupon as a legit live user.
Now I'm cruely disappointed as I will not use this 30%off.
Next time maybe

I missed this yesterday.
A broke software developer wanting cheaper prices from other software developers. Oh the irony…

It's interesting that Granulator is the first time that Ableton have promoted a PATCH instead of MAKE YOUR OWN PATCHES! It's a definitely turn of events in terms of marketing M4L. At least I can't remember them promoting specific patches in the past. I mean they are focusing heavily on Granulator.
When Henke talks, people listen. And then Ableton promotes.

It's not just Granulator either. They're pushing a whole bunch of "celeb" M4L devices.

These synths by Katsuhiro Chiba (who made some instruments I've already ported to M4L) in particular aren't too shabby:

or maybe they woke and smelled the same roses NI's been snortin' for about the last couple years, marketing Reaktor ensembles to sell Reaktor, Komplete, etc.
