My account only shows 9.1.1 as a full version.
So I have to download the whole thing again?
Well in todays terms those files are small actually, depending on your internet connection "given you don't have one from the last century" this should only take a few minutes at most.jbw wrote:I thought updates were supposed to be small files.

You're right, the file is actually pretty small. I forgot the packs are separate.thisodd wrote:Well in todays terms those files are small actually, depending on your internet connection "given you don't have one from the last century" this should only take a few minutes at most.jbw wrote:I thought updates were supposed to be small files.

If you have version 9.1 as far as I know you should be able to do this via autoupdate, my last update was a friggin' joke it went so fast via auto update, I had barely downloaded it and turned Live back on and it was already updated. But that is if you have auto update enabled and a fast pc and a fast internet connection.
Cheers
agree with that, but ok, if you make daily backups I guess, I run Time Machine, but you're right, it's risky I give you that, I should probably also do them manually.eyeknow wrote:yeah, I just let mine auto update. Somewhat risky, maybe I'll stop that practice...
Yeah I get where you coming from, totally dig this too, and would hate to see this change, I think people can only benefit from it like you do and Ableton probably went this direction for a reason, so.H20nly wrote:...
i've even had Live 8 and 9 running at the same time... that's pretty damn cool when digging through older material. really cool.
