Hey, I know I'm really late on this one... but this looks like what I've been trying to do for ages! Any chance of re-posting the file?

Cheers

Ha! I spent quite a lot of yseterday struggling with PD trying to programme something which would achieve this, and not quite managing to get it to work. This works. Brilliant, thankyou very much. Very useful.

i might be stupid......

Nice work Zoidberg,

i made a similar patch in bidule a little while ago which allowed you to set, and then nudge the master tempo using a slider and the pitch bend wheel... it make beat matching ableton to decks a piece of cake.

Next version will work with buttons too.
Im using Traktor Dj at the moment, because i dont have the pitch bend function in Live yet, and i use a trigger finger to tap up a pitch bend (or down), using it like a nudge, instead of using the pitch bend wheel on a midi keyboard. Would it possible to still do this in Live, that is have a button assigned to nudge it up or down?

Im on Windows, so if anyone knows how to do this, let me know, then i can dump traktor, and really use Live to the max.

Cheers,

kpa

Thanks for the kind words.
The patch is quite basic, but everyone can customize and improve it.

I have been trying to get PD to work on my mac ibook (running 0SX 10.3.9) and can't seem to get anything going. I have installed the app and it is in my app folder, but when i click on it to open it, nothing happens. I have even tried dropping the pd file on to it, but nothing. Can anyone tell me where i am going wrong? This patch seems to be the ideal thing for what i need!!!!The version of Pd i have is Pd-0.40-1.

works flawlessly on WinXP with MIDI Yoke!
This is the best solution sofar for me ..

Allthough I had to change the input CC# to match my keyboard controller, but i still output on cc# 8 .. also changed to global channel 1 instead of omni ..

And also, when PD processed other midi data from my controller it created glitches in Ableton Live, even if that particular controller wasn't used to control temo/pitch .. the solution was to remove the two patches in the corner concerning unused CCs and Notes ..
